Definitely the debut - I think it had all the elements of what made that band so special. Blues, bossa nova, avante garde, 60's pop. A quirky mix of styles that blended beautifully.
An absolute close second would be Strange Days, followed by Morrison Hotel, for the bronze.

I agree, Horse Latitudes into Moonlight Drive is a great moment of the modern music. And I like so much People Are Strange, its vibe and Jim's lyrics.
