Do you have a favorite? Perhaps even one made on YouTube.
I just saw one on Amazon Prime and it was junk, especially those who were the so-called "experts". Then again, every documentary I've seen from this free-trial (I see why its free) has been empty. They repeat clichés, and use old interviews we've already seen and heard. Basically they make money from the backs of others.

There was one that I really wish had been released, 'Jim Morrison: Before The End'. A lot of great interviews with people who knew Morrison when he was growing up as well as an interview with Jim's younger brother Andy. But I guess the folks who made couldn't get funding or something. You can find parts of it on YouTube.
I haven't watched it but the documentary 'When You're Strange' is the only one that I know of that has the approval of the three surviving Doors. You can also find parts of this on YouTube.
'When You're Strange' is also supposed to include Jim Morrison's experimental film 'HWY' in it's entirety as a DVD extra.

I remember looking and seeing nothing had been done or said in a few years. Too bad. Having Andy would have been great.

Sounds like it would have been a very interesting documentary.

Jim Morrison: Wild Child
seems to be the newest one. It's on Amazon Prime. There hasn't been any ratings. We'll have to change that to reflect its accuracy.
I just heard about his conservative dad, but also how his mom would make Jim sleep in his own piss if he wet the bed.
Now I just heard about Jim being molested.

I must admit I turned off after one of the so-called experts said how "Light My Fire" was one of the first songs Jim Morrison wrote.

I'm surprised there aren't more documentaries.

There was an independent film short that was supposed to highlight Jim and Pam's stay in Paris. I can't find the link, but I'll post, if I locate it.
I found this pretty fascinating. It's not a Doors documentary. It covers Jim's last days in Paris, and includes interviews with people directly involved during that time. Absolutely worth watching...

I'm not sure if I've seen this, but I'll check it out later. Thanks! When in doubt, post away! P.S. - There was supposed to be one project with the assistance of Andy Morrison, but I visited their Facebook (and other pages) and didn't see a thing.

I think you'll like the "Last Days" above link, it's pretty fascinating. It interviews a lot of the local Parisians who are part of the story. This isn't the movie I was mentioning earlier, but here's another independent film that I believe hasn't been released... www.beforetheendmovie.com/
