When I was on his YouTube page and saw 500 subscribers, I had to make a thread. Not sure why he's been ignored.. He co-founded YES, and other band stuff, including Empire, which is my favorite of his output along with "Two Sides of Peter Banks", but he also did a lot of session work, including the uncredited solo on Lionel Ritchie's "Hello" and others, including Pete Townshend (along with Sidonie Jordan) Pete Townshend "All Gods Mornings" and doing an instrumental of "Give a Little Bit" for the Supertramp Tribute... There is a documentary in the works, but I haven't heard of any updates.
I always prefer prog with a woman on vocals, and do like instrumentals. I just loved everything he played.. Jazz sensibility with a lot of acoustic, even on the same song. Lots of dynamics, and movement in the song. Momentum, and other emotions. Long songs, short songs, never boring. He just seemed to always play the right note at the right time. I loved his flamenco-laden jazz guitar solos, rhythm work..
Does anyone know why he only did one solo album in the 70s?

"Be Well, Be Safe, Be Lucky... The Anthology" is on YouTube.. Hoping for early stuff (could never get into most engineering/production after the 70s)

I love interviews, and if you have any favorites, please post!
There's supposed to be a documentary, but it's been a while since there's been an update. Funding problem? Not sure, but we know his widow was upset that former bandmates didn't help out with the funeral. Ironic from a literate standpoint that the guy who helped the most was Mizer.
