he IDF was created through the merger of one Zi^0nist paramilitary terrorist group, the Haganah, and two Revisionist Zi^0nist paramilitary terrorist groups, the Irgun and the Lehi. The last two were led by Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir, respectively, who were both responsible for massacres and targeted murders of the British, Arabs, and especially Jews they viewed as traitors and / or political liabilities to the establishment of 1948 Israel.
After 1948, Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir would found right-wing political parties that promoted an admixture of ultranationalism, religious mysticism, and racial superiority. These parties would eventually be merged to form the Likud Party which they would lead and serve as Prime Ministers prior to Bibi Netanyahu assuming their leadership and legacy.
