He might have a point. Some people like Jim are more influenced than others, and I think its something worth discussing. I have tried to learn all I can about him, I've even tried to read a few of his books, but I don't have the acquired reading brain for Nietzsche.

I read that, too, but only that quote. Was there more to it?
You can also (probably) say "Jim Morrison killed _____________"
Maybe some alienated young people felt a kinship with Jim (as he felt with others, like Nietzsche) and felt validated or affirmed when they "broke on through", with drugs, or rebellious behavior, etc.. I think the influence starts early, and as we get older, the more formed we are, making it more difficult to change.

I can't remember anything except that line. Maybe if you google the phrase you could find something.
But I guess you can say the same about almost anyone. "Dad killed ______". I guess it depends on the person who is doing the influence and the person who is influenced. I'm sure Jim has had an influence on me, but I get influences from ideas that I might not know where they originated from.

I did google it, but all I got back was ""Nietzsche killed Jim Morrison." John Densmore"
