I've been up since 3am (after falling asleep at midnight) and it's 19:14 here and I haven't eaten yet. Shower first. Then watch boring TV while I eat and smoke.
I'll be back tomorrow to finish. If my computer runs smoother, I'll try to upload the many screenshots I took.

Robby says LA WOMAN is their 2nd best album after the first one. Those are my favorites, too.

"I never really liked Ray's voice"
(I'm guessing he's not alone, and I'm guessing he didn't care for Ray's 'contributions' on 'Dead Cats, Dead Rats/Break On Through'
*John wrote all the lyrics to "Ships With Sails" which seems to be everyone's post-Jim songs, including Robby's.

Here's some Quotes from the HENRY HUDSON HOTEL section of the Book for your NOTES collection:
I was constantly being placed at the crossroads between rock 'n' roll stardom and scooping our lead singer's brains off the pavement.
Jim rarely remembered his drunken fits, leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces.
His apologies were so simple ... I still don't know how he got us to forgive him for half the stuff he did.
There was somethin about his sober nature that made you feel bad about holding a grudge.
Why was I sticking with this band when one of its crucial elements seemed bent on destroying everything?
All I knew was I could never walk away.
Regardless of whatever else might happen along the way, I was all in.

Your welcome Bill. And THANK YOU for posting your NOTES here and for the other links to the interview, etc.
Could you please explain more about what you said in this message:
>>Robby respects that Jim had no ego. Refusing his name to be on the marquee. Insisting (even on "The Soft Parade" when credits were specified) that the entire band gets 1/4. When Sal and Asher went to Jim to go solo, he was the first to want to fire them.
>>"Jim wanted to be part of something" (after talking about the psychology; Jim's childhood/family).
What else did ROBBY say about how JIM wanted to be a part of something??? And what did he say when he was TALKING about THE PSYCHOLOGY and JIM's CHILDHOOD and FAMILY???
That's the kind of stuff I'd definitely like to hear more about.
In "RIDER's on the STORM," John also talks about going to see his brother at his place, and what a wreck it was, because the FISH TANK hadn't been cleaned for a long time, and the rest of the place was also in disarray. And John also talks about how bad he felt, because he'd been the one to introduce his brother to LSD, which he also claims was responsible for the other problems his brother had regarding his mental illness. Because John also said the LSD had somehow screwed up his DNA.
So please tell us more about what ROBBY said about JIM's CHILDHOOD and his FAMILY and the other PSYCHOLOGY matter.
Did JIM ever seek out any kind of PROFESSIONAL help for his addictions the way ROBBY did?

By the way, thank you for your post. I've asked myself before who had written "Ship w/ Sails"'s lyrics. I didn't know if it was Robby or John. It's so interesting that it was John who wrote it, and if it's about Jim, it's even more intriguing.

Thank you for posting more NOTES from the BOOK, and especially for the "WINGS of MADNESS" section of it where you've also HIGHLIGHTED the part about how his FATHER is the KEY to JIM's reaction to AUTHORITY figures (which also explains the reason why no one could talk him into getting the kind of help he needed to overcome that problem). >>He was forever rebelling against his navy officer father. Anyone who attempted to step into a role of authority over him became the target of his unresolved rage. So what could we do ... That part definitely explains the reason why they wouldn't be able to help him or talk him into seeing someone else who could have helped him. Because if they also had problems getting him to seek help for his STD, how the hell could they get him to see another THERAPIST for his ALCOHOLISM and for DRUG ABUSE ISSUES And what about his relationship with PAM??? Was he also willing to infect her and keep infecting her with his STD as well??? If he didn't care about what happened to himself, then he should at least have cared about what he was doing to her by refusing treatment. Robby's book sounds FASCINATING !!!

Found this link where he talks about his Battle with CANCER: people.com/music/doors-robby-krieger-releases-set-the-night-on-fire-memoir/You're a lucky man for several reasons. You recently overcame a life-threatening health scare, with you outlined at the end of your book. You beat stage four melanoma through a course of immunotherapy. It's a relatively new treatment but, in your case, it was wildly successful and you're now cancer-free. I wanted to ask you more about immunotherapy, because I think it could offer hope to a lot of people. Basically, it sounds like it's the anti-chemo. Yeah, it is. It's exactly the opposite of chemo. Eventually they will get it to work on all different kinds of cancer. I was just lucky because it worked really well on the type of melanoma that I had. They keep testing it on different stuff, and eventually I think that will replace chemo. I think it's so important to get the word out there about this treatment, so that people facing a cancer diagnosis can look into it for themselves and see if it's an option for them. Yeah, I didn't know about it. I was just lucky. I was ready to go in for surgery. They opened me up once and looked in there, and they were going to take two-thirds of my lung out, but they said it looked pretty good in there — just this one tumor. So they sewed me back up. When I woke up, I was thinking I was going to be minus a lung, but no. I said, "S—, it still feels like it's in there." So the doctor says, "Yeah, it looks pretty good in there, so we're going to make sure that it's melanoma, and if it is, then we're going to do another operation and chemo." I was getting ready to do that when I was talking to my gardener. It turns out one of his clients was doing this immunotherapy, which is not unheard of at the time, but my doctor never mentioned it. I called him and said, "What about this immunotherapy thing?" He said, "Oh yeah. Well, we could try that." It if wasn't for my gardener I'd be on the chemo trail. Unbelievable. Keep that guy, no matter how many plants he kills. Exactly. He's a terrible gardener. [laughs] But I think he saved my life.

He was very lucky to be a member of The Doors, because every time he got caught, he was let go. Even when he was 18, he and his brother got busted, but his dad was rich and so he didn't get into trouble. I just think everyone should be given the chances he got. Just like Biden and his son Hunter. If this happened to you or me (whether its the guns, drugs, lying, etc), we would be in jail. We need more people with more guts who will attack not only their tribe, but ANYTHING that isn't right. Do the right thing for the right reason, as opposed to doing the right thing to feel good about yourself for 15 minutes. Conformity drives me crazy, and I'd like to see more individuals. I just had a conversation with my cousin, and we were talking about controversy, but he confuses vulgarity with controversy, and I know he's not the only one.

Yes if it was you or me we'd probably still be sitting in jail. And Yes ROBBY is also very lucky that the cops who searched him didn't find the POT that he had hidden in his under ware. And then he also gets the other prisoners that he's in jail with HIGH on it??? And the cops never SMELLED IT or demanded to know where the POT was that they were smoking??? Sounds like your COUSIN's been spending too much time on FACEBOOK where they RIG the place to encourage people to be VULGAR and full of FURY. On the news they were also discussing passing a BILL that would make FACEBOOK legally responsible for what they do (because others could then SUE them). So it will also be interesting to see if that BILL gets passed or not, and if that will also lead to having LESS stuff posted that encourages people to behave in the CREEPY way that they've been doing lately (beating up airline employees, doctors and nurses who treat them for COVID, school board members, etc). Thanks again for posting the NOTES !!! Your efforts on our behalf are very much appreciated !!!

Maybe Robby knew, "They'll never throw ME in jail" so he didn't give a shit. Paul McCartney has been busted many times, for LARGE amounts, without even hiding it. You'd think most would have roadies, or someone at the venue location to provide this, but he did once spend a week in jail in Japan, but he said he played his guitar and sang with the other prisoners. Man, if only I could have been there as an American tourist! If I was the only one able to speak in English, me and Paul could have some amazing conversations, but I always carried my weed/hash in Europe

George was my favorite Beatle, but there's still no way that I'd chose to stay in jail for a week with him. Back in 74 I met FORD's son Steve (his father had also spoken at the graduation ceremony that took place on the football field that afternoon ... and my boyfriend at that time also wanted to STREAK across it ... but my other friends refused to let him telling him he'd get arrested). And Later on that night we also went to a graduation party, and when STEVE pulled up behind my Chevy Malibu in the Green Mustang that he was driving, he also offered me a HIT from the little pipe that he was smoking pot in at the time. And if I'd known he would invite George to the White house, I'd also have been nicer to him instead of giving him the BRUSH off. But the other friends I was with who went to school with him also warned me about how he'd come home drunk all the time, stumble up the front steps of his house, and get attacked by the SS dudes who didn't know who he was (even though it was also their job to follow him around and protect him). Anyhow, I didn't see any SS guys there, but my friends also knew they were there somewhere because of Steve being there, so they also wanted to leave the party for that reason. As you may recall, Steve's mom also started the BETTY FORD clinic due to her substance abuse issues. I also sat on the edge of the stage the night THE DOORS played for us at the ALEXANDRIA SKATING RINK (where I also use to go each weekend to roller skate as a kid). Also had NO IDEA that they'd be there that night, and had flopped down on the stage in disappointment after being told they weren't renting out skates that night due to the other event. And I also had no idea who JIM or the DOORS were at that time either. The reason they were there at the RINK that night to perform was because JIM had also lived there and gone to school in that area. And since I don't recall paying anything to get in that night, or the friends I was with paying anything either, he must have also performed for free. I also recall JIM reminding me of a VAMPIRE, because DRACULA was also my favorite MONSTER on the TV program for kids that we use to watch each weekend (that would also show older films with other monsters like the MUMMY in them). I also like JIM's POEM about "THE GOOD HUMOR MAN," because we also use to have GOOD HUMOR MAN ICE CREAM TRUCKS that would go around selling us ICE cream. And there would also be the sound of "lawn mowers" as well, just like it says in his poem. Anyhow, Here's another link that talks about Jim & Pam's relationship, and about how he sets a room on fire after they had a fight: culturacolectiva.com/music/pamela-courson-jim-morrisonBut in his book Robby also denies that this ever happened??? How can people get away with publishing things that say it did happen if it didn't??? And what else does Robby have to say about PAM in his book??? Did he like her???

Found this but also don't remember the cymbol stand tossed into the audience (I was also sitting over on the edge of the stage and wasn't in the audience area) or JIM giving the ONE FINGER SALUTE as he left the stage: www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/local/wp/2013/06/20/the-night-the-doors-tore-it-up-at-the-alexandria-roller-rink/PHOTO DESCRIPTION: The Doors pose with WPGC DJ Jack Alix, holding a copy of GO Magazine between his teeth, before The Doors’ show at the Alexandria Roller Rink on Aug. 18, 1967. Also pictured are members of the Blades of Grass and the Jackettes Go-Go Girls. The show is believed to be the only time that Jim Morrison, who graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria, played in Alexandria. (Clinton Star-Leader archive at the Prince George’s County Historical Society) Many big-name rock bands passed through the Alexandria Roller Rink in the ’60s and ’70s — Janis Joplin, Jeff Beck, Jethro Tull — but maybe the hottest night was when The Doors came to town. Mark Jones on WETA’s local history blog, Boundary Stones, dug up the details of Jim Morrison’s only performance in Alexandria, where he once lived and graduated from George Washington High School. He had gone off to college in Florida, then California, where The Doors were formed, while his folks continued to live in Arlington. (The Post’s obit is here, with an interview with his father.) It was August 1967 and The Doors were at the top of the charts with “Light My Fire.” The hit-making WPGC radio was sponsoring what would now be an unheard-of double bill: a 7:30 p.m. show in Annapolis, and a 10 p.m. show in Alexandria. Jones reports that Morrison got into a disagreement with the rest of the band in Annapolis and they refused to ride with him to Alexandria. When Morrison arrived in a separate car, he apparently was staggering drunk. The original poster for the Doors’ show at the Alexandria Roller Rink Arena in August 1967. “In person!” (Ebay) But the place, also known as the Alexandria Arena on North St. Asaph and Madison streets, was packed with 4,000 psychedelic love children and Morrison apparently revived and put on an entertaining show that included an extended version of “Light My Fire” and finished with “The End.” (Presumably his parents weren’t there.) Then Morrison tossed a cymbal stand into the audience, WPGC DJ Jack Alix had to wrestle the mike away from him, and Morrison yelled “Hey Alexandria” and issued a “one-finger salute” as he left the stage, Jones writes.

I have the physical book “The Lizard King Was Here: The Life and Times of Jim Morrison in Alexandria, Virginia” by Mark Opsasnick I liked it, and the few others about Jim's younger days... Even before he was a star, he was pretty much the same guy who was always against conformity. Most people know about him living in Florida, and there's a book I have about that period in his life... Jim lived with his grandparents at first, and then found some roommates, who eventually kicked him out, because he was messy, etc.

Robby said he didn't think that was true, and that was just more bullshit from oliver stone. He hardly mentioned Pam. I have no idea if he liked her or not. That's STRANGE because in the "LOOK INSIDE" area which lists the names of the CHAPTERS of Robby's book, CHAPTER 26 is also called PAM. And since PAM was such a HUGE part of JIM's life, it would also be ODD if Robby has a chapter that's about someone else named PAM. I also think it was in the other book called " NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE" that it talks about how JIM was so far ahead of other students in high school that he use to spend a lot of time on his own reading other books about witchcraft (which his teacher also talks about in the book). And that might also explain the reason why he had a friendship with PATRICIA. And since it also begins with Jim on a sled with his brother and sister, and racing down a hill and about to kill all of them (before his father also prevents that from happening), yes apparently JIM was also pretty much the same person as a child and as a teenager as he was as an adult (when he also use to JUMP OUT of WINDOWS and almost kills himself by doing that the same way as he almost also did on the sled). I think it's in the FIRST CHAPTER of his book that Robby also talks about "JIM's WINDOW JUMPING" and how he almost died doing it (just like he almost died racing down the hill on the sled back when he was still a child).
